The commander of Falmouth fort pauses for a chat with one of the locals; nearby a couple of the captured pirates dangle from the gallows on the headland .. the price of piracy when caught.

Grim, and often forgotten, but perfectly in-character piece of scenery!
ReplyDeleteQuite nice . . . and I liked the piled up felt for the bank above the water . . . it gives a good look to things and provides depth.
