The supply column en route .....
a native scout informs a British officer the supply column is on its way ....
As they round a bend in the route and approach the bridge, the officer at the head of the column sees some movement in the rocks ....
the column's rear guard comes under fire from the edge of the forest .....
as the column nears the bridge they can make out groups of natives led by some British officers...
the rear guard form up and exchange fire with a group of natives ...
the head of the supply column is attacked .....
as fighting continues the rear guard have closed up to protect the column
vollies from the troops at the head of the column force the natives back, mean while the rear of the column comes under a tentative attack form the edge of the forest....
The supply column crosses the bridge .....
The column heads onwards ..more natives are seen at the edge of the forest .....
The garrison at San Lorenzo stand-to after the sound of gun fire is heard ....
The supply column is attacked in the front and rear ....
The rear attack is repulsed with volley fire ...
the attack on the front of the column falters and the natives fall back into the forest .....
Finally the column (with all supplies intact) comes into sight of San Lorenzo ......
