Carribean: Red Jack in trouble ?

Red Jack and a couple of his crew had gone ashore during the night at Port Maria, Jumeida, to recce for a raid inland; however they had got lost and were trying to find their way back ....

A small boat is at the end of the jetty, they are pirates from Red Jack's ship, waiting to pick him up - they are anxious it is daylight and he has not yet come back ...

Trouble - someone spotted Red Jack last night down by the quay and informed the authorities; now in the morning they are getting ready to search for him in the town - an added complication for the commanding officer is that the Governor is visiting the port and he has taken up a position on the balcony of a building to watch what happens ...

The rest of the town of Port Maria - plenty of places for Red Jack to hide, and many possible ways back to the harbour ...

Red Jack has finally found a trail back and has reached the outskirts of Port Maria, he stops to consider his best way back to the harbour ....

 

can Red Jack get back through the town to his boat and make his get-away ?

Additions/Alterations to buildings....

First a new building for India now painted up and finished off ..

Also I have some Games of War pirate buildings which in Carribean mode look like:

I made some alterate roofs for them out of card/foamboard and a couple of resin dome castings; they can now be used for India ...

Carribean: Port Royal - Jumeida

This weekend I've been finishing off the 'little ships' coastal sections shown a couple of posts ago; I used a simple paint finish with some foliage clumps; houses in the town are a mix of Rod Langton and painted up Monopoly buildings.

Carribean: Port Royal - Jumeida - Under Construction

More work in progress on coastal/port modules for my little ships - this time the main port, Port Royal, on the british island of Jumeida. I've been struggling for some time to figure out how to make a fort for it, but I was given one which was close enough and matches just about the scale of the Rod Langton buildings I had .....

Now to get down to finishing off.....

Carribean: Native Village (2) - all done

Finished off the village houses then flocked the bases - not quite tropical - but neutral enough for use in a number of ways ....

Carribean: Native Village (1) - new items & initial work

I picked up some secondhand buildings at good price to use to start a small native village; buildings are perhaps not quite right - but I want them to be re-useable possibly in other contexts.

I also decided to re-use or modify some of my dark age houses as well..

The dark age hut with the door in the side, making a base for it from card and parts of plastic trees ....

 

The hut I bought is now based, the dark age hut with the door in the side is done as well. I have also done the small dark age hut - it is stuck on a cut down 1/32 scale table with some plasticard strips added to get the correct width

the steps used are from a pack I picked up in a model shop which specialises in boats (always worth a rummage for things that may be useful in any model shop). I've based the round house - which will act as the chiefs residence - on a simple square base - needs terraining etc ...

I probably do a nother couple of huts, then finish them all off; also in progress on the painting table are a few more pirates - including some women pirates
